Red Road Approach Curriculum for Adults

A cognitive & experiential curriculum on Native American/Indigenous Philosophies activating the spirit for individuals, families and communities. Adult participants will be guided through lessons on the impacts of alcohol and drugs on the mind, body and spirit. This curriculum is a 16-20 week adult program that can be implemented within communities, schools, counseling and treatment centers and other agencies that serve or work with adults.

Red Road Approach for Adults 3 Day Certificate Training:

The Objectives of the training are; 1) To provide participants with an opportunity for self-examination, education and professional growth through experiencing a holistic and culturally relevant model to heal from addiction and grief, 2) To provide cultural knowledge with an opportunity to regenerate one’s spirit for balance 3) To promote an understanding of the importance of cultural uniqueness when engaging with Native American/Alaskan Native/Indigenous individuals 4) To understand the implications and effects of inter-generational and historical trauma on individuals, families and communities, and 5) To offer Technical Assistance to facilitators during their curriculum implementation process.

Who Should Attend:

The Red Road Approach Curriculum for Adults training is a grass roots-based program for community members, social workers, mental health clinicians, addiction counselors, case managers, spiritual practitioners, tribal law enforcement, tribal council leadership, school faculty and anyone interested in learning the Red Road Approach to healing.
